Beyond the Blur a  -a Draft
A number of trends that will profoundly challenge the way we live today and shape society will merge over the next three decades. These changes will be of different kinds e.g. technical, demographical, environmental, institutional and economical. When trends like these merges different kind of tensions occur and parts of the world will undergo dramatic changes during a relatively short period of time.

These changes will happen at the same time as important decisions are made with a narrow time-horizon and at an ever-increasing speed both in business and in politics. Many of the actors that need to act in order to avoid the threats and capture the opportunities seem to be stuck in old ways of thinking.

At the same time there are a significant number of groups and individuals with well thought through theories about how the challenges can be met and in labs around the world people work with inventions that could radically change the way society looks like. If we are to both reverse the negative trends we see today in areas such as poverty, inequity, and ecological damage, and be ready to address the new challenges that will emerge, we a need to discuss how the different challenges can be dealt with. This requires a situation where the actors with ideas for the future are given the opportunity to present them to decision-makers.

The objective of this project is to bridge the gap between people that have ideas for the future and those that have the power to influence the way society evolves.
